Artur Naumov is a Latvian-born photographer based in London, his work draws upon a diverse background in architectural and interior design, fashion and music. Artur communicates balance and harmony in his photography, using the delicate interplay between light, composition and symmetry. Shooting on the Sony Alpha system, he creates visually striking images that are both captivating and sublime. Artur's approach is shaped by a unique perspective, an exploration of urban and natural regions and their inhabitants as well as the form and function of the built environment.
“Growing up in the largely flat landscapes of Latvia instilled in me a deep appreciation for the majesty and drama of mountainous regions. The seemingly impossible scale and striking verticality of these environments never cease to amaze and inspire me, fuelling a passion for capturing their beauty. From long hikes in the English Lake District to road trips across the Swiss Alps, spending time in these breathtaking landscapes is a true escape for the mind and soul. As a contrast, my cityscape work reflects a fascination with the ever-changing urban environment.”
